Time is Running Out On 2017 VSP, EyeMed, Medicare and Flex Plan Benefits!
Are you about to lose your unused benefits? Recalculated yearly beginning in January, the Medicare Part B deductible must be met before claims are paid. If you have met your deductible, in many cases Medicare will help pay for your eye health examination. The vision evaluation (refraction) and the 20% co-payment are your responsibility. Supplemental insurances usually covers the co-payments but not the refraction.
If you have vision or flex plan benefits left, they may not carry over into 2018. Get the most from your eye health and vision coverage at Crowder Center. Don’t forget that you can also use your “health savings account” to purchase prescription sunwear!
With the popularity of managed care, our schedule fills up quickly because many patients either have benefits that if unused, will not roll over into 2018, or have met their deductible. To schedule an appointment before year-end, please call 423-899-2020, or drop by to visit our optical department.
